Private Health Funds
Accredited Practising Dietitians are registered with most health funds. Depending on your level of cover, you may be entitled to a rebate. Check with your health insurance company to see what you may be entitled to claim.
A HICAPS machine is available at our Palmerston clinic for on the spot private health claims.
Medicare
We work with a number of doctors, surgeons and medical specialist across Darwin and Palmerston. People who are referred from their doctor on a Chronic Disease Care (EPC) Plan are entitled to a $56 rebate from Medicare. For most people you may be eligible for a total of 5 visits per calendar year. Please discuss with your doctor as eligibility criteria does apply.
Rebates can be deposited directly into your account or a receipt taken to your nearest Medicare centre to receive your rebate manually.
Pensioners or those with a health care card are bulk billed for all appointments!
Others are required to pay a small gap.
Department of Veterans Affair (DVA)
We are registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Gold care-Card holders that have a referral letter from their GP are bulked billed.
